"I’m still a work in progress, but I am thrilled with how far I’ve come"

“My weight was affecting every aspect of my life. While the physical issues that came with being severely overweight were difficult, the emotional and mental impact it was having was even worse. I didn’t enjoy activities with my family. I felt like I was an embarrassment to my husband and kids. I would avoid pictures. I didn’t even want to leave the house and be seen. I wanted to hide.”

“I had joined a couple of gyms over the years. Each time was short lived (not the fees, of course.) I didn’t know what to do, how to do it and I was intimidated by being overweight, out of shape and generally lost. I felt like I needed to get in shape before I would be comfortable going to a gym. I had started many diets, tried pills, ordered videos, had shots, bought equipment, got hypnotized. Nothing ‘stuck’.”

“I saw an ad on Facebook one day for a Six Week Challenge. I think I saved it at the time and moved on. It was several days before I looked it up again and replied. The rest, as they say, is history. Sergeant’s Fitness was the piece I was missing. I got the support, guidance and coaching I needed to succeed. Despite the cursing, crying, vomiting and overall misery of my first few weeks, I never felt judged, intimidated or out place.”

“I’m still a work in progress, but I am thrilled with how far I’ve come and am thankful for the support of my amazing husband and family. I am looking forward to continuing my journey and know that Sergeant’s Fitness will be key to my success.”
